A few years ago when Blogs started to become the hip and cool things to have, people populated them with AdSense adverts and made thousands of dollars by driving tens of thousands of visitors to their blogs. Now things have moved on, and while lots of people still love AdSense it doesn’t make as much money anymore, and there’s a good reason for that and that’s because these people who were driving traffic to their blog were using generic browsing keyword phrases such as LCD TV’s.

Whereas today the money is in the longtail, the reason is because people who come online and search for LCD TV may not want to buy, they may want a LCD TV review or someone who can repair LCD TV’s.
So Instead people who come online and type in Sony Bravia KDL-4V012U 40inch Widescreen TV are actually looking to buy.
Many off us have been taught that longtail keywords phrases have to made up of 5 or 6 keywords, however that false just a two word phrase can be a buying keyword and thus a longtail keyword phrase.
A year ago a well respected person I admire made thousands of dollars with Halloween costumes, however he didn’t make money with the phrase Halloween costumes as that was to vague, Instead he made lots and lots money with phrases such as Hannah Montana Halloween Costume and Silver Surfer Halloween costume. These phrase are buying keyword phrases while the term Halloween Costume is a browsing keyword phrase as you don’t know what people are after.
